Privacy Policy

In short

This extension processes everything on your device. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server.

What the extension does

When you open it on a page, it reads the page's text locally to show a fast summary (a key-sentence extract computed entirely on your device) and to provide reading aids (OpenDyslexic font, reading guide).

• Your browsing activity is never uploaded.
• Your conversation history stays in your browser.
• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising.

Network requests

The only network activity happens when you explicitly take an action:

• Clicking a button (e.g. "Comment with AmicoAI", "Explain simply") opens the AmicoAI app at www.amico-ai.com with the page URL or the text you chose.
• The popup loads the Font Awesome stylesheet from a public CDN (cdnjs) to render icons.

No request is made in the background, and nothing is sent without your action.

Data retention

Your preferences (e.g. dyslexia font, reading guide) are stored in local storage on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the extension. No data is sent to us or any third party.
